A Message from WorthyNest® Founder Deb Meyer

My passion for personal finance began long before a career title. I enjoyed flipping through Money Magazine as a middle schooler, captivated by the strategies it shared. Nerdy? Maybe. But it planted the seed for what would become my lifelong calling.

When it came time to choose a college major, I followed in my mother’s footsteps and pursued accounting at Saint Louis University. After launching a career at Deloitte Tax, I transitioned into wealth management and spent nearly seven years at Matter Family Office, serving families of significant financial wealth. Managing money isn’t just about numbers. It’s about values, vision, and creating a life that aligns with what matters most.

In other words, life isn’t just about work. My husband, Bryan, and I have navigated several major milestones together—raising three wonderful boys, living abroad in Spain for three months, and making a cross-country move. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of pursuing meaningful professional endeavors, including starting WorthyNest® in 2016, writing Redefining Family Wealth, and launching the Beyond Budgets® podcast. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the complexity of family life and financial decision-making.

Do These Challenges Sound Familiar?

  • “I dream of retiring early but worry if we’re financially ready to take that leap.”

  • “We don’t talk about money much; one of us handles the day-to-day while the other focuses on big-picture investing.”

  • “With everything happening right now, it’s hard to find time to think about the future.”

If any of these resonate with you, you’re not alone. Managing finances while juggling family priorities isn’t easy, especially when life feels so full. That’s why WorthyNest® was created: to give parents like you the tools, clarity, and confidence to make financial decisions that align with your values and goals.
